Lucic is a dirty hack. I remember the Kings were disappointed that they couldn’t re-sign him. Best thing that ever happened to them. Why the Flames took a chance on this washed up loser is beyond me. I suppose trading Neal to get Lucic made some kind of sense. What a waste of $5 million dollars though.

Lucic should have no place in this league.

Like most old school tough guys lucic’s play depends on how emotionally invested he is into the game.

He was nowhere to be seen for the first half of the season but after getting called out for being a ghost in January’s battle of Alberta’s his play improved. I could take the lucic of recent on any roster as long as he was only making 1-2 million.

Also I’m pretty shocked that he has had over a 50% corsi for 13 years.

Still, you have to be happier with what Lucic has given you compared to what Neal did, especially considering the saved money in the swap. Still stupid overpaid, but less worser than what you were.

I was pleasantly surprised with Luc.

Calgary needed more leaders in the room and the guys presence has helped. He skates like a dyslexic donkey and shoots like one too, but, he has brought a lot in the intangibles and the other teams Dmen make mistakes when he is on the forecheck.

Seems like both teams were happy to at least get something for players that did not work out. It was a hockey trade.

I also think that Management will push whomever is head coach to put Luc in a position to succeed. Which probably means in front of the net getting garbage goals.

Lots of buzz about each team getting a 1 player buyout to offset the certain cap reduction coming with the Covid related lost revenue.

No doubt the Oilers would buy out Neil and the Flames Lucic.
If the Oilers use their 1 buyout on Neil, will they be stuck with the retained salary on Lucic (3 x 750K) ?

What if he retires? Would Edmonton get stuck with the whole thing? We should start a go fund me page to make it happen!
